Join us for a fun Cinco de Mayo evening of friends, running and some crazy fun! We are gathering to say goodbye to our friend, John Eversmeyer, before he moves this summer to Ohio. The goal of the John-A-Thon is to have 26(.2) people running a "Beer Mile"! A Beer Mile is when the runner drinks four cans of beer and runs four laps (start - beer, then lap, then beer, then lap, then beer, then lap - finish). This event is open to anyone (even non-club members), so if you don't drink, feel free to bring something else like a cupcake, donut, water, etc. to enjoy during your laps! Chris & Kristin Wullf are hosting this event in their yard with a measured 1/4 mile in their neighborhood.
Hey all! We are excited to share this "muy importante" seminar with all of you! Presented by Beyond Strength Performance - Saturday, May 5th @ 10am... Plenty of time to run in the morning and still have tacos and margaritas later in the day!
This one hour seminar will share why strength training is so important for runners, how to train with the best positions to be successful, and offer some hands-on fun stuff so you can immediately begin to incorporate moves to strengthen yourself and better your running.
They offer more than a one-size-fits-all strength program, they’ll show you how to do a self-assessment to find your specific needs and show you what you can do to address them.
Don’t miss this!

Details from Ragnar: There are one million and one reasons not to run on Jan. 31. It's cold. It's dark. Your heater and fuzzy slippers are calling your name. But we're asking you to put your buts behind you, and join us as we host the REI's No Buts Night Run.
For every person who pledges to run in the dark, REI will donate $1 to the American Hiking Society. So grab your headlamp, a good friend and some reflective gear and get ready to run the night!
Pledge to run here: http://www.nobutsnightrun.com/
RSVP to this event and invite your friends to join, and share your photos across social media with the hashtag #NightRun.
We'll see you on Jan. 31st - no ifs, ands, or buts!
